Search volume data for any keyword list, by market.

Volumes is dentsu's internal keyword research tool. It lets our search, SEO and paid media teams pull 12 months of historical search volume for large keyword lists, in a single downloadable file.

What Volumes does

Planning search and content strategy depends on knowing how often people search for a topic and how that demand moves through the year. Volumes takes a list of keywords and a target country, retrieves historical monthly search volume from the Google Ads API (Keyword Planner historical metrics), calculates month-on-month and year-on-year changes, and returns the results as a CSV file.

  • Up to 12 months of monthly average search volume per keyword
  • Country-level targeting
  • Automatic batching and retrying of large keyword lists
  • Simple, one-page interface with live progress and CSV download

Who it is for

Volumes is built for dentsu employees working on organic search, paid search and content planning. Access is restricted to dentsu staff and is protected by dentsu's single sign-on (Okta). It is not a public product and there is no public sign-up, which is why this page does not link to a login.

How it works

1

A dentsu employee signs in with their work account through Okta.

2

Enter keywords

They choose a country and paste a list of keywords to research.

3

Download results

Volumes requests historical metrics from the Google Ads API and returns a CSV for analysis.

Data and Google Ads API use

Volumes uses the Google Ads API solely to retrieve keyword research metrics (historical search volume) for keywords that dentsu employees enter. Requests are made from dentsu's own Google Ads account. Volumes does not read, manage or modify advertising campaigns, and it does not access any client's or any third party's Google Ads account data.

  • What we handle: the user's work identity from Okta (name and work email), the keywords they submit, and the resulting metrics file.
  • What we don't do: sell data, share it for advertising, or use it to profile individuals.

See our Privacy Policy for full details. Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy.

Volumes uses the Google Ads API but is not endorsed or certified by Google.
